Due to complaints to Google about the upgrade price for the T Mobile contract version of the the Nexus One (was $379), Google have agreed to lower the price to make it easier and cheaper for you to upgrade. The upgrade version is for current T Mobile customers to upgrade to the new Nexus One.
Google has, today, lowered the price to $279, less $100 than the previous price. Do not worry if you already have paid to upgrade and think you are losing out, Google have also agreed to refund anyone who paid the full $379 (refund $100 via Google checkouts).
With today’s price update there are now 3 different prices for the Google Nexus one
- Nexus One unlocked : $529
- Nexus One with 2 year T Mobile contract : $179
- Upgrade to the Nexus One (if already with T Mobile) now : $279
Kudos to Google for showing that the listen to their customers, especially since their support has been reported by Nexus Gossip to not be up to scratch
love that there is only a $100 difference between being a first-time customer & upgrade! usually T-Mobile existing customers are subjected to paying full price. thanks for info! already a T-Mobile existing customer

If I don’t win a Nexus One I’ll have to wait and see what price they put the nexus one at another carrier….no T-Mobile here.
